Buying a home can feel stressful. There are a lot of questions you need to ask yourself, like "Where do you start?, Who do you trust? Or, what happens first?" I understand because I work with buyers every day who feel the same way. That's why we follow a simple five-step process that keeps things clear, organized, and moving forward. Here’s how it works:
Meet with us. The first step is to sit down together. This meeting is about you. We want to know what kind of home you are looking for, what matters most to your family, and what your budget looks like. By starting with a clear picture, we can help you focus only on the homes that actually fit your needs.
Connect with a local lender. Getting pre-approved early makes the rest of the process smoother. We work with trusted local lenders who not only offer competitive rates but also have a deep understanding of the local market. Because they are nearby, they are more responsive and able to get you to the closing table on time. Once your financing is in place, you will be ready to move forward quickly when you find the right home.
Schedule inspections. After you go under contract, inspections are the next important step. We will provide you with a list of inspectors we know and trust. It is a good idea for you to attend the inspection in person so you can view the property through the inspector’s eyes and ask questions as they arise. When the inspection report comes back, we will review it with you to help you understand what is normal and what might need to be addressed before closing.

Handle the appraisal. Your lender will order an appraisal to make sure the home is worth the purchase price. There are three possible outcomes. The appraisal can come in at, above, or below the value. If it comes in low, we will walk you through your options so you do not feel stuck. No matter what happens, we stay by your side to keep the process on track.
Close on your home. This is the last step and the most exciting. At closing, we will help you review all of the lender and settlement documents so you feel confident about what you are signing. Once everything is complete and the funds are transferred, you will get the keys. We can meet you at the property or arrange for the title company to hand over the documents. At that moment, the home officially belongs to you and your family.
